The AVID Friendchip is a permanent identification that is placed under the skin between the shoulder blades. The microchip is approximately the size of a grain of rice. It can be detected by scanning at close range. This identification can be detected by animal shelters and veterinarians, so if your pet is found, you can be contacted.
